Some Other Datapoints

As of right now, when one searches "Counterforce USA" on Google, the first three links are to the company's website. The next four are from either RipoffReport.com or ComplaintsBoard.com. Each one is scathing.

Yelp has three reviews of their service. All are negative. Two complain that one star is the lowest rating that you can give a company.

One of the above reviews explicitly mentions Counterforce not closing an account after a cancellation letter was sent. A second generally complains about being billed for 25 months (!) after cancellation.

So apparently I'm not the only one whose paperwork was "never received." This morning, when I was trying to get the Counterforce representative to give me the benefit of the doubt, I asked if cancellation letters ever get lost over there. He said they never do.

And finally (for now) the Better Business Bureau gives Counterforce a C+ rating.

I feel so stupid for signing up with this company. It happened because there was already a Counterforce system installed when I moved into my apartment in Los Angeles and I foolishly decided to stick with them without thinking much of it.
